As an entrepreneur, your job is to sell. Sell new employees on the dream, sell partners on the potential…
This week I found a few resources for Product Sales and Cold Emailing Investors (also sales).
There are only 19 Ways to sell
19? Yes, I know that sounds like a lot. But as an entrepreneur, you only need to find one that works. Most companies fail because they can’t find even one that works. Your job is to score 1 out of 19. Sounds doable, right?
If you are wondering which you should use, feel free to email me, and I’ll give you my two cents.
Cold emailing investors
How *do* people actually get investment? Do you really need to know someone? I always wondered how effective cold email was, and this week, I ran across few resources that show 1) you can cold email investors and 2) here is the formula to do it!
I’m not sure who needs to hear this today, but I know someone does:
"The very first company I started failed with a great bang. The second one failed a little bit less, but still failed. The third one, you know, proper failed, but it was kind of okay. I recovered quickly. Number four almost didn't fail. It still didn't really feel great, but it did okay. Number five was PayPal." ~ Max Levchin

We have a new Episode with GIZ::Green People’s Energy this week. If you are in the solar biz, take a look and share it with friends who might find it useful.
Here’s a meta-game. What sales channel are we using to get distribution for our podcast? My theory is that people will search for a grant, and if we put an ad up for that keyword, they will find our podcast. Thus, our strategy is Seach Engine Marketing.
We don’t have a lot of listeners…yet. But the numbers are going in the right direction, which is great.
